Reading Adventures ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in the Reading Adventures mobile app.

Information We Collect

• Anonymous usage analytics sent to our own servers (for example, which stories are opened or completed, and whether the app is opened again on later days). These events never include your child's name, photos, profile identifiers, or any advertising identifier. A random install identifier (UUID stored on your device) is used only for aggregate return-visit metrics and is not linked to your child's profile. Analytics are not used for advertising or to identify children.
• Basic app diagnostics (to improve reliability).
• Child profile names and reading preferences you enter in-app.
• Selfie photos you upload for character generation, and generated cartoon character images.
• Purchase/subscription status provided by app store billing services.
• Feedback that a parent or guardian chooses to submit through the parent-only pilot feedback form. We ask parents not to include a child's name, photo, or other personal information.

How We Use Information

• Provide and improve story personalization features.
• Generate personalized cartoon characters from uploaded selfies.
• Maintain app performance, safety, and fraud prevention.
• Support subscription and entitlement features.
• Review parent pilot feedback and improve the app.

AI Image Processing

When you choose selfie-based character generation, the uploaded selfie image is sent to Google (Gemini API) solely to generate cartoon-style character images for your profile. We do not retain the original selfie image in our cloud storage after processing. We store generated character images so we can provide and display your selected character in the app.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Usage analytics are collected and stored on our own infrastructure, not shared with third-party analytics companies. We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate the app (for example, cloud hosting, AI image generation, error monitoring, and subscription management).

Children's Privacy

This app is designed for families and children with parent oversight. Parents or guardians should review and manage child profile details entered into the app.

Data Retention

We keep data only as long as needed to provide app functionality, improve the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Parent pilot feedback may be retained for up to 24 months.

Your Choices

• You can delete profiles in the app.
• You can uninstall the app at any time.
• You can contact us to request deletion or ask privacy questions.
• Parent pilot participants may submit feedback in the parental-gated Parent Dashboard. Submitting feedback is optional.
